Educators

Educators are the front line – the ones who see what is happening to our young people and have the ability to influence the outcome of their futures.  You are consistently asked to take on more and more responsibility for a young person’s behavior, their outlook and their abilities.  What can interfere with young people making the most of the opportunities they are given?  Way too often it is alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, prescription drug misuse and the myriad of other drugs, both legal and illegal that can be found in our community.

As an educator, building protective factors against the use of substances, yours is an important job!  Thank you for taking your work seriously and for providing the young people of Fayette County with the knowledge they need to make healthy, life-enhancing choices and for teaching them that choices and consequences are a fact of life.
